2020 took us all by surprise and challenged us in a myriad of ways we had never experienced before. In many ways 2020 was a test of adaptability and resilience. While many of the systems we rely on to make this reality possible were pushed to their brink, they didn’t snap mind you. For example, supply chains came close to breaking down but held out just enough. I am in no way belittling all the small businesses who closed (some forever), the employees who lost their jobs because of supply chain issues, or even more seriously the people who died of preventable causes due to supply chain stresses in the medical systems. All I am saying, is that by enlarge our society/humanity was able to absorb these losses and continue so to speak. 2024 has the potential to be even more chaotic, disruptive, and possibly lead to a complete collapse.
